I’m working my way through a tutorial and I found myself in awe of how long it’s been since I just sat there on the design side of things without touching any code. I’ve probably spent a decade working further and further away from the design side of things because web applications largely matured to clean and open layouts. Frameworks like Bootstrap allowed me to get a lot done without having to open Photoshop or Illustrator.
I’m enjoying just listening to music and making something that looks cool. I don’t miss fighting with servers and JavaScript frameworks.
